Terms of use
The short version
- Gapfare finds flights. We don't sell tickets: you book with the airline or agent, under their terms.
- Prices change quickly. We check again when you open a flight, but the airline's price is the one that counts.
- Other airports, trains, buses and separate tickets save money but carry risks that are yours to weigh.
Who we are
Gapfare (gapfare.com) is run by [COMPANY NAME], [ADDRESS]. Contact: [CONTACT EMAIL]. By using Gapfare you accept these terms.
What Gapfare is
Gapfare is a search and comparison service. We look up flights and prices from public sources and show you options, including some the big search sites leave out. We are not an airline or a travel agency, and we don't sell tickets. When you open a flight you go to the airline's or agent's site, and your contract and any refunds or changes are between you and them.
Prices and availability
- Prices come from airlines and other services and can change or sell out at any moment. Prices marked "cached" come from other people's recent searches and may be days old.
- When you open a flight we check the price live first and tell you if it changed or the flight is gone. We can't guarantee that the price is still there when you pay.
- Prices in currencies other than Norwegian kroner are converted at the European Central Bank's daily rate and are approximate. The airline charges in its own currency.
- Where we say a price doesn't include bag or infant fees, add those yourself. Seat selection, payment fees and other extras are usually not included.
Other airports, trains, buses and separate tickets
- Other airports: distances are straight-line. Getting there is up to you, at your own cost and risk. Train and bus times and prices we show are estimates; check them with the operator.
- Separate tickets: if we show two flights booked separately, the second airline has no duty to wait or rebook you if the first is late. Leave plenty of time and consider insurance.
- Don't skip flights: airlines usually cancel the rest of a ticket if you don't take one of its flights. Gapfare doesn't suggest booking a ticket and skipping part of it.
- Travel documents: passports, visas, health and entry rules are your responsibility.
Weather and other information
Forecasts (from Open-Meteo), distances, travel times and photos are for information only and can be wrong.
Fair use
Use Gapfare for your own trips. Please don't copy our results in bulk, run automated searches against the site, try to break or overload it, or use it for anything unlawful. We may block access that harms the service.
Shared trips and price alerts
Anyone with a shared trip link can see that trip, so share it only with people you choose. Price alerts are a free courtesy; an email may arrive late, and a price may change again before you book.
Commissions
Some links (for example to Aviasales) may let us earn a small commission if you book, at no extra cost to you. It never changes the order of results.
Content and trademarks
Airline, airport and company names belong to their owners and are used only to describe flights. Destination photos come from Wikimedia Commons under their own licences. Airport data is from OurAirports and Aviasales; location data is from DB-IP (db-ip.com, CC BY 4.0). Hand illustrations are from Microsoft's Fluent Emoji (MIT licence).
Liability
We work hard to show correct information, but Gapfare is provided as it is, without guarantees. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for losses arising from prices that changed, flights that sold out, missed connections, delays, or decisions you make based on what we show. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can't legally be limited.
Changes
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep using Gapfare after a change, the new terms apply.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING LAW, e.g. the Philippines]. If you are a consumer living in another country, you keep the protection of that country's mandatory consumer law and can bring a claim in your local courts.
